Can We Talk About What’s Going On With Pizza In Brazil Right Now?

As a resident of New York City, I’d say that most of the conversations I have with out-of-towners are about pizza.

And one question seems to come up over and over again: Is ours better than Chicago’s? Well, that depends on who you ask. In terms of the fundamentals — crust, sauce, and cheese — New York City has it in the bag. But what about when it comes to toppings? You may be shocked to hear this, but it’s not Chicago. That honor goes to Guarujá, Brazil.

Can’t decide between subs or pizza? Well in Brazil, you don’t have to choose!

Brazilians basically make their actual pizzas how you wanted to make your Lunchables pizzas when you were a kid.

But Lunchables-style pizza is WAY more fun when you’re an adult.

Dinner and dessert are no longer on separate menus.

Needless to say, these aren’t exactly great for enjoying slices on the go.

This is ridiculous, but I like it.

Pizza in the morning, pizza in the evening, pizza at supper time!

Who says that pizza is unhealthy? That’s definitely fruit.
