This isn’t a good look for
While the chopper was descending, city worker Matt Small moved closer to get a better shot at the luxury aircraft. That’s when he saw the hitmaker, accompanied by a pilot, another man, and two identically-dressed mystery women.
The 28-year-old — who just likes taking pictures in his spare time — said there was a six-foot fence topped with barbed wire separating himself from the celeb.
However, he recalled that the Degrassi alum hopped the barrier to confront him, telling TheStar.com:
“He was in my face, saying, You need to delete those pictures out of respect.’ I said, You’re not respecting me right now man, you’re in my face harassing me.'”
The young father continued to say that the artist demanded he delete his photos, and that the songsmith began snapping photos of him when he refused, repeating the phrase:
“I got you.”
The Pop Style performer’s friend — who was now standing behind Matt — began grabbing for his camera, trying to swipe his memory card.
Fellow photog Michael Massie had been watching this all go down from a distance. He told Global News:
“It kind of looked more like a scuffle at one point no punches or pushing but you could see the guy was trying to walk back and they were blocking him. And then he screamed help call the police!'”
The 32-year-old told TheStar what happened when he approached the group in an attempt to diffuse the situation, remembering:
“I said, Whatever’s going on, someone tell me, otherwise I’m calling the police right now.’ And the first person who comes up to me is Drake. And Drake says, Your buddy has to give us his memory card and delete his pictures.’ I said, I don’t even know him.’ He goes, You’ve gotta get rid of your pictures, too.'”
The physician responded by saying that he didn’t have any photos, and that Matt was free to snap the shots since they were in a public place.
So, the 29-year-old and his entourage began to walk back to their limo. But on the way, Michael says Drake made things personal, exclaiming:
“He points back and says: I’m going to find you, Michael.’ I don’t know where the (hell) that came from! I thought we were OK.”
Matt feels “offended” by the entire encounter, and even took to Twitter to accuse the artist of threatening and harassing him!
Ch-ch-check out his passionate post AND the photos he managed to get of the A-lister in this screenshot (below):
He revealed that he’s not speaking out so he can have fifteen minutes of fame, but instead wants to hold the celebrity accountable for his actions, explaining:
“I’m really not in this to exploit Drake. It’s just the principle of bullying and walking off and getting into your limo and pretending your actions were OK.”
Drake’s rep has not commented on the controversy. What do U think of all this, Perezcious readers? SOUND OFF in the comments!
